Today's task: Tell Rosa what is broken, what you do not know yet, and what she should do in the next few hours — without inventing a cause or a time.
The Setup
Where
A phone call on a Tuesday evening. You are at your desk with two screens: the status page on one, the logs on the other. Rosa is in her office in Amsterdam with Monday's issue already laid out.
Who
You are the only developer of Draftbox, a writing tool. Rosa runs a paid newsletter. Every Sunday night she pushes forty drafts through your tool: it exports them in one batch and she sends them at seven on Monday morning.
At stake
The export queue stopped moving forty minutes ago and nothing is coming out. You do not know the cause yet. If Rosa waits and nothing changes, she rebuilds forty drafts by hand overnight.
Mood
Calm and practical. Her keyboard is loud the whole time. She asks what she should do next more than she asks what went wrong, and she says the word tomorrow in almost every sentence.

本课作用：L6。她问的是"我现在要不要手动重做四十篇"。这句给的是最省事的那个答案：先别做。但理由必须紧跟在后面（一小时里队列可能就动了，那一晚的活会白干），否则听起来像敷衍。它救下来的不是你的时间，是她的一整夜。
记忆提示：（联想）坐在椅子上，手不动——等的是一个信号，不是等一整天。它单独用会显得冷，所以后面常跟 for now / until I call you。对客户说这句的时候，永远配一句"等什么、为什么值得等"。

记忆提示：（联想）down 是掉下去，up 是回来了——同一台机器，两个方向，正好一对：be down / come back up。注意别用 come up，那更像"出现"或"被提出来"；也别用它说"恢复健康"。

specific to 复习 /spəˈsɪfɪk tuː/
复习说明：2026-09-13 那课首次出现（当时在用户支持里收窄问题范围），2026-09-20 复习过一次（当时指新价格只针对新增席位）。这一课换到"故障的影响范围"，例句也换了场景。
核心含义：只针对某一部分、不影响其他部分。
本课作用：L2。故障通报里最该先给的不是原因，是范围：坏的只有导出，账号、笔记、草稿都还在。这一句能立刻决定对方要不要慌，也替你把后面"为什么"的问题挡一下——范围说清了，她才听得进"原因还不知道"。
记忆提示：（联想）像一张只贴在一件东西上的标签。说这句时最好把"不涉及什么"也讲出来（not to your account），只说 specific to，对方下一个问题一定是"那我的东西呢"。
换情境例句："The delay is specific to weekend pickups, so weekday orders are still on time."（延误只涉及周末取件，平日的订单还是准时的。）
not there yet 复习 /nɑːt ðer jet/
复习说明：2026-09-25 那课首次出现（当时指片子还没修到能交的程度），这一课换到"修复还没到位"，例句也换到另一个场景。
核心含义：还没到那一步——事情在往前走，但没到能说"好了"的程度。
本课作用：L12。它替你挡掉一个假的承诺：六点我会打电话，不是因为六点能修好，而是因为六点我能知道进展。把"我什么时候联络你"和"问题什么时候结束"拆成两件事讲，是这通电话最关键的一处——她拼命想要的是一个日期，而这句给的是诚实的进度。
记忆提示：（联想）像导航上还差一段路：你能说出还剩多远，但不能说"到了"。常见搭配是 the fix is not there yet / we are not there yet。想表达"快到了"口语里说 we are almost there，那是另一句话，别混着用。
